The woman and the boy.

Last photos from the old building of
the National Technology University
I promise ...

I am very sad for the abandonment of the building.
The photo has all the details of the walls and the roof.
I like so much the architecture.

And a copie of an old statue of a woman.
The boy was about 10 minutes
in frond of the statue and I have a sequence
with his photos.
It was little bit sober...
Maybe his is wondering who has paint red
the tits of her chest?

Wall art for everyone who seems interested.

My yesterdays wall and
another story on the wall.
You can see some red hammers and sickles
and the letters K.N.E are written from
the communist party.
Another wall more funky.
But our friend is not interested...
Have a nice day everybody!

A wall inside the yard of the

Inside the old building of the University.

These days I discover the old building
of the National Technology University.
It is written : Υou feel all nohow .

Your mind is 'nohow'.

The soul of the demonstration.

The celebration of 17/11 it is always
connented with a big
demonstration who starts from the
National Technical University and
ends to the embassy of U.S.A.
This dog is the 'chief ' of the demonstration
as he is giving orders for
the preparation of the placard inside
the building and he is the first
of the students demonstrators.

Bread Education and Freedom.

Between 1967-1974, there was a military dictatorship in Greece.
On 14/11/1973 thousand students from all universities
gathered inside the National Technical University
of Athens and created a radio station, the only free media of that time.
They wanted free elections and asked every citizen to help them.
The colonels' junta sent the tanks inside at
about midnight of 17/11/1973, some students were killed.
One year later, the dictatorship collapsed
and democracy came back to the place where
it was born 2.500 years ago.
Today is a celebration to the freedom ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ.
In the old building of National Technology University
we leave a flower and the children write something.
These days you will see more pictures.
The two first photos are taken 23 years ago the third one is mine.

Dark sun

Just a short walk to the hill of Xaidari.
Just a look to this panoramic view of Athens.
Just a sobering thought:
Why this city is so ugly ?
Why this city is so beautiful?
I will not have time to see your photos today,
as there is a marionette perfomance
starting in 40 minutes.
-promise tomorrow
I will see your work..

Windows.

Last photos from the houses
of Alexandras Avenue.
Today I post 2 interesting windows.
The second one, has holes of bullet.
Don't ask me, I don't know why...
but here in Greece the weapon possesion
it is forbidden.
Maybe a crazy man wanted to practice himself
but he was blind...
Look what I mean now ...

Alexandras Avenue.

Since ancient times Greeks have being
living in both sides of the Aegean Archipelago,
for more than two millennia before
the arrival of the Turks.
After the Turkish conquest, Greeks of Anatolia
faced centuries of ethnic cleansing and
forcible conversion to Islam.
Both sides had made many
mistakes and one of the result
of this fight was the burn of Smirni in 1922
- now the Turks called Izmir.
My grandfather and his family were Greek
who lived in Smirni and after the 'disaster'
they became refugees in Athens.
For some of Smirni refugees
the state gave them a new house (decate 1930)
Look at them now!
Most of them are empty,
some others (second photo) accomodate
our new refugees from other countries.
What a same!
***Tomorrow I have a super suprise!***

I am a refugee on my city.

My shadow and the shadow of my friend Fotis.
We are in Alexandras avenue downtown Athens.
It is very strange to see these old buildings ,
they are people who are still living there ,
there is a history on our memories.
Tomorrow you will see more about it.

The Match Point

Sorry for my absence,
from now on my life has many changes
that for me sometimes is very difficult
to adopt...
I am here today with a quiz :
Can you find the similarities
between the 2 photos?
The winner takes an ornament of a Christmas tree...

Oh Blue ...

Blue
Strange colour blue
Sixteen tons on the moon
BlueStrange colour blue
Coming back to you
Pushing through
Pouring rain
Nearly there
Nearly there
Oh, blue
This blue sky of Athens from the old
building of Mitropolis square
makes me sing the 'Strange Colour Blue'
of Madrugada.
Have a nice weekend everybody,
tomorrow I will have for you a quiz.
